Our 15 acres of grapes are pinot noir planted on a hillside site with south and west exposure just north of Santa Rosa in the heart of the Russian River Valley. The sloped site helps protect the vines from frost. The soils are mostly volcanic in origin and support a balanced vine. Very few amendments are needed. We maintain a sod cover between rows for the health of the soil, and use sheep to mow the grass when vines are dormant. See our Sustainable Agriculture page for more information.
